Since Friday evening, PlayStation Network users have been grappling with a major disruption. Sony’s PSN has now been down for over 15 hours, marking one of the longest unexpected outages for such a prominent gaming network. This downtime has affected a broad range of services, including account management, social features, and the PlayStation Store.

Despite the length of the outage, details about its cause, and when it might be resolved, remain unclear. Fifteen hours ago, the AskPlayStation Twitter account acknowledged the issue with a message stating, “We are aware some users might be currently experiencing issues with PSN. For more details:” followed by silence, as no further updates have been provided since.

Gamers can keep track of the PSN store’s status on Sony’s PSN status page, where, at the time this article was written, all services are still listed as unavailable. Additionally, Downdetector, a tool that gathers real-time user feedback, shows an increase in submitted outage reports as more PlayStation enthusiasts try to log into their accounts throughout the day.
