According to recent updates, NVIDIA’s board partners have received word that the release of the RTX 5060 series GPUs has been postponed, with the new launch window set a few weeks later than initially planned.
GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Scheduled for April Release, While RTX 5060 Follows in May
Just as we were gearing up for the debut of the GeForce RTX 5070, news has surfaced regarding delays in the RTX 5060 series rollout. Initial rumors had slated the RTX 5060 series for a March debut, with availability in April. However, today’s report reveals a further postponement.
While the exact reasons for the delay remain somewhat ambiguous, it has been confirmed by Board Channels that NVIDIA has informed all its board partners of this change. Official word from NVIDIA has yet to surface, as they haven’t discussed the RTX 5060’s release schedule publicly. Previous whispers of software bugs and supply chain issues might have contributed to these setbacks, although NVIDIA hasn’t verified these claims.
NVIDIA has internally communicated to all its AIC partners via email about the delay in the release of the new RTX 5060 Ti / 5060 series products. All brands have been advised of the postponement. Furthermore, NVIDIA indicated that the new RTX 5060 Ti 16G / 8G might be rescheduled for mid-April, with the RTX 5060 series likely coming in mid-May. Specific dates will be disclosed in further notifications from NVIDIA.

The buzz now is about the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti making its appearance around mid-April, followed by the GeForce RTX 5060 in mid-May. As for the RTX 5060 Ti, both its variants are anticipated to hit the market simultaneously. Nonetheless, even NVIDIA’s board partners are still waiting on the exact launch dates.
Interestingly, this delay might align the RTX 5060 series launch with AMD’s upcoming RX 9060 series. AMD’s lineup includes the RX 9060 XT and RX 9060 cards, available in both 8 GB and 16 GB variants, setting them up as direct competitors against the RTX 5060 Ti’s offerings. The RX 9060 series is also rumored to roll out in the second quarter, though exact dates remain uncertain.
NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5060 Ti aims to succeed the RTX 4060 Ti and will come equipped with 4608 CUDA Cores, options for 8/16 GB GDDR7 VRAM, and a 180W TDP. Meanwhile, the RTX 5060 is positioned to replace the RTX 4060, offering 3840 CUDA Cores, 8 GB GDDR7 VRAM, and a 150W TDP. There’s also been talk of a 12 GB RTX 5060 variant, as hinted in a recent leak, potentially giving it an edge over the RX 9060, which is speculated to include only the 8 GB option.
