Supergiant Games has rolled out a significant update for Hades 2, which is currently available on PC in early access. The “Warsong Update” elevates the experience by transporting players to the peak of Mount Olympus, setting the stage for what it calls “the final confrontation.” Excitingly, this update introduces Ares, the formidable god of war, into the mix. Alongside this, players can look forward to a plethora of enhancements: a new animal companion, an enriched storyline with more voice lines, upgraded boons, the Altar of Ashes, resource gathering opportunities, and streamlined menu navigation.

In discussing the future, Supergiant Games mentioned in a recent post that they’re already planning their third major update, which is anticipated to drop “some months from now.” However, it’s still a bit premature to pinpoint when Hades 2 will step out of early access and transition to its full official release.
“Early Access plays a crucial role in shaping the development of Hades II,” Supergiant Games shared. “We aim for this to be evident in our major updates and various patches. With the primary framework for both the Underworld and Surface routes now solidly established, we’re eager to continue expanding the game’s content and finishing up everything we’ve started… until we’re completely satisfied!”
This latest addition, the Hades 2 Warsong Update, comes at no additional cost. Supergiant Games advises that players might have to restart Steam to initiate the download process seamlessly.
