Have you been itching to get your hands on Dune Awakening after hearing so much about it? Well, good news! You’ll soon have the chance to dive in with a free open beta weekend starting on May 9 and wrapping up on May 12.
To participate, you’ll need to wishlist the game before May 9 for a shot at joining, or snag one of the thousands of beta codes being distributed during the weekend. So, while not completely open, it’s definitely a chance worth seizing if you’re keen.
Interestingly, this beta aligns perfectly with the original release date set for May 15, which got postponed. The team at Funcom decided to take a bit more time to ensure everything is polished to perfection for the full launch.
During this playtest, you can explore the first two regions, promising around 20 hours of gameplay. You’ll get to wander through a few Research Facilities, test out early abilities for different classes, and engage in some PvP action at ship crash sites—a nice little preview of what’s to come.
