Capcom has announced exciting news for fans of classic games: Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny, originally a hit on the PlayStation 2, will be getting a remaster and is set to launch on the Nintendo Switch.
This direct follow-up to Onimusha: Warlords achieved remarkable success, with 2.1 million copies sold globally, making it the standout entry in the popular series.
The game introduces us to Jubei Yagyu, a new hero driven by a powerful story of vengeance. What makes Jubei even more intriguing is that his character model is inspired by the late Yusaku Matsuda, a celebrated Japanese actor who gained fame in the 1980s.
The remaster stays true to the original game’s setting and mechanics but brings fresh features and enhancements aimed at providing a smoother experience on modern consoles.
Gamers can look forward to the digital release of Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny on the Nintendo eShop for the Switch worldwide in 2025.
