Happy New Year, Travelers! As we step into 2025, the Genshin Impact development team is thrilled to wish you a fantastic beginning. We’ve got exciting news about the forthcoming Version 5.4 update titled "Moonlight Amidst Dreams," launching on February 12. In this update, you’ll find yourself returning to the intriguing land of Electro, Inazuma, where a festive extravaganza awaits! Embrace the celebration with a new companion, Yumemizuki Mizuki, and reunite with classic favorites like Raiden Shogun and Yae Miko as they come together for the Mikawa Flower Festival. This captivating occasion unites humans and youkai under the gleaming moonlit skies of Inazuma.
A Festival Bridging Worlds
Nestled at the base of Mt. Yougou in Inazuma, the Mikawa Flower Festival is set to shine more brilliantly than ever. Historically a grand youkai gathering, it has now become a lively event that welcomes both humans and youkai. This year, the festival intricately blends age-old traditions with fresh connections, creating a truly memorable experience. A must-see addition is the brand-new "48-hour Game Development Competition." And here’s a little inside scoop: the Raiden Shogun is due to make a special appearance. Word has it she’ll be delving into a mysterious nightmare involving an old acquaintance…
During this thrilling competition, humans and youkai will join forces over two days to craft imaginative new games. Thanks to the magical prowess of the Kitsune Meal, youkai can now communicate in human languages, paving the way for an enchanting collaboration full of inventive mini-games.
Exciting Game Creations Await
Kicking off the creative showcase is “A Little Fox’s Daydream,” where Mizuki and Kokomi guide players through a dreamscape adventure. Here, a little fox must cleverly navigate between dreams and nightmares to reach delightful fried tofu and its destined goals.
Following is “Bunshin Phantasm,” a strategic challenge demanding teamwork from Sayu, Yoimiya, and Kichiboushi. Players will direct charming Muji-Muji Daruma that mimic movements to unlock paths and achieve victory by engaging pressure plates.
Not to be missed is “Akitsu Harpastum: Dreams Doubled,” brought to life by Thoma and his youkai companions. This inventive fusion takes the classic brick breaker game “Akitsu Yuugei” and infuses it with elements of Mondstadt’s harpastum, offering the thrill of both solo and co-op play. Participating in these mini-games earns Festival Stamps, which can be exchanged for enticing rewards, including the 4-star polearm “Tamayuratei no Ohanashi.”
New Additions and Delightful Surprises
Ever heard about the delightful amenities at the Aisa Bathhouse? They’ve introduced Mikawa Flower Festival-inspired bathrobes, thanks to major shareholder and new 5-star character, Yumemizuki Mizuki! With the ability to consume nightmares as a yumekui-baku, Mizuki also doubles as a clinical psychologist. She uses her unique gift to help people face their deepest fears, offering assistance to a Natlanese warrior grappling with severe nightmares from the Night Warden Wars. Mizuki’s Story Quest lets you visit Aisa Bathhouse firsthand, where you might experience her dream-altering treatments.
The Combat Prowess of Mizuki
In battle, Mizuki dazzles as a 5-star Anemo catalyst user, a versatile support character who skilfully combines Swirl DMG and healing. Her skill set adapts to various team dynamics, optimizing damage output alongside Pyro/Electro/Hydro/Cryo teams. Activating her Elemental Skill, Mizuki enters the Dreamdrifter state, floating elegantly while dealing AoE Anemo DMG and amplifying Swirl DMG.
Moreover, Mizuki tailors her healing approach to her team’s needs. Her Elemental Burst engulfs foes, producing "Yumemi Style Special Snacks." These can be collected and, based on an active character’s HP, either restore health or deliver AoE Anemo DMG. Mizuki’s exceptional talent further enhances healing, boosting HP recovery by 30% when allies consume Recovery Dishes.
Tips for Mastering Mizuki’s Combat Abilities
A useful tip: while she’s in the Dreamdrifter state, Mizuki’s pick-up range for Yumemi Style Special Snacks expands, making them easier to snag during intense battles.
Upcoming Event Wishes
The first phase of Version 5.4’s Event Wishes introduces Yumemizuki Mizuki and Sigewinne’s rerun, followed by the much-anticipated reruns of Furina and Wriothesley in the second phase. Look out for Mizuki in the Standard Wish banner after the Version 5.5 update.

The Mikawa Flower Festival isn’t just about new encounters—it also offers a chance to reconnect with beloved characters. The “Travelers’ Tales: Anthology Chapter” event lets you meet old friends scattered throughout the open world. Just look for the anecdote icons on your map to uncover their latest adventures.
